Rescue. It does a doggie good.
At Wiley’s Wish Animal Rescue, we believe rescue isn’t just about saving dogs—it’s about changing lives. Since 2021, we’ve rescued over 1,500 at-risk dogs from overcrowded California shelters and placed them in loving homes. Through our Paws of Hope prison resident/rescue dog training initiative, 400 of these dogs have earned their AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certifications with the help of prison residents—proving that healing goes both ways.
Trained and ready for family life, our dogs transition smoothly into their forever homes and bring joy wherever they go. From tiny Chihuahuas to giant Great Danes, each one has something special to give. When you adopt from Wiley’s Wish, you’re not just getting a pet—you’re giving the gift of a second chance. Rescue. It does a doggie good.
From high-kill shelters to happy homes.™
We are dedicated to rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters and guiding them toward a future filled with health, hope, and love. We believe every dog deserves a second chance—and we exist to make that possible.
Our work begins with urgent, comprehensive medical care: vaccinations, testing, spay/neuter, microchipping, and life-saving treatments when needed. Once recovered, dogs enter Paws of Hope—our unique training program pairing rescue dogs with prison residents, led by AKC-certified trainers. Over 2–3 months, dogs gain confidence, structure, and earn their Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certifications.
We then match each dog with a carefully screened adopter to ensure a lifelong, loving home. From high-kill shelters to happy homes, our mission is rescue, rehabilitation, and a new beginning—for every dog we save.
